Steady Point Guard with Elite Turnover Control and Award-Worthy Intensity
Tenika Neely, a junior guard for North Carolina Central Eagles, stands out not just for her 3.9 PPG average in the 2012 season, but for her elite ball-security: averaging 1.4 assists with only 0.5 steals and a remarkably low turnover rate (1 in 31 minutes during her 10-point game). Her differentiator is her intense, data-driven focus and personality—she was named Nationwide Insurance NCCU Student-Athlete of the Month in December 2012, reflecting her leadership and reliability under pressure. While her shooting percentages (32% FG, 23% arc) are modest, her 54% free-throw accuracy and consistent 23.2 minutes per game show she’s a trusted, high-intensity fit for any team needing a calm, turnover-free point guard who elevates with intensity. She’s a great fit for teams prioritizing control over flash.
