Saint Mary’s floor general, elite distributor, and low-mistake engine
In the 2017-18 season, Emmett Naar was the Gaels’ all-time assists leader and a two-time All-WCC performer, with Saint Mary’s records showing 284 assists that season and 816 across his career. He was prized for his craft, patience, and high-level decision-making — not raw athletic pop — plus a strong assist-to-turnover profile and reliable shooting touch. If you want a steady point guard who organizes an offense, makes teammates better, and won’t panic under pressure, Naar fits beautifully; if you need explosive downhill burst, that’s not his headline trait.
