Chaz McNelis brings elite contact, power, and speed to Arizona’s outfield
McNelis arrives at Arizona after a 2025 breakout at College of Southern Nevada, where he hit .443 with 82 hits, 66 RBI, 10 home runs, 17 doubles, and 9 triples in 57 games while earning NJCAA First Team All-American honors.[2][16] He stands out because he combines high-average bat-to-ball skills with extra-base impact and a runner’s motor, plus he has shown he can handle pressure and lead, not just produce numbers.[3][12][13] He also carries a compelling backstory and visible resilience, which adds to his intangibles as a fit for a program looking for an outfielder who can hit, create offense, and bring edge.[10][17][18]
