Valpo's Trent Miller: Captain Grit with Winning Pedigree, Limited Action in 2023
Trent Miller, a 5'10", 190-lb defensive lineman for the Valparaiso Beacons, served as team captain in his senior HS season at Thomas Jefferson (PA), helping his squad to a stellar 37-5 record as part of the program's winningest class—showcasing leadership and toughness beyond the stat sheet. In 2023 college debut, he appeared in four games (vs. Youngstown St., Marist, SW Minn. St., and another), bringing high-motor intensity ideal for FCS rotation players. No major injury flags; his undersized frame demands elite effort, making him a culture-fit for teams valuing relentless captains over raw stats.
