Aussie-leg-left punter who helped UNC flip field position
Tom Sheldon is a left-footed Australian punter for North Carolina whose calling card has been hang time, placement and a knack for pinning opponents deep—he was credited with helping UNC lead the nation in punt return defense as a freshman and, in 2016, averaged 42.7 yards on 50 punts with 21 fair catches and only nine returns. His differentiator is the old-school field-position game: if your team wants a specialist who can change angles and keep returners honest, Sheldon fits the bill.
