Stephen Machanic brings veteran linebacker instincts to App State
Stephen Machanic is a 6-foot-2, 220-pound outside linebacker for Appalachian State who has shown ball production and consistency across his career, including an interception on his ledger and previously posted 90 tackles and 12 sacks in App State’s roster history. His appeal is his size, experience, and proven ability to impact plays both in coverage and behind the line of scrimmage, which makes him the kind of linebacker coaches trust for physical, assignment-sound football. The main fit question is health and current form, since App State lists no statistics for the current season.
