Troy Taylor brings steady point-guard value and late-game facilitation to Evansville
Troy Taylor is a **floor-general guard** whose value shows up in playmaking, rebounding for his position, and keeping an offense organized under pressure; in Evansville’s 2013-14 season, he was the team’s assist leader in three of the final six games and finished with a 7-point, 8-rebound, 4-assist outing in the MVC Tournament, even though his scoring volume was modest at 2.8 points per game[3]. He looks best as a fit for teams that need a composed distributor rather than a high-usage scorer, and his move to a pro deal after Evansville suggests a player coaches trusted for responsibility and control[1][3].
