Arizona’s former walk-on who became a clutch, high-volume kicker
In the 2014 season, Casey Skowron emerged as Arizona’s do-everything specialist, handling kickoffs, field goals and PATs while leading the Pac-12 with 123 points and hitting 20-of-28 field goals and all 57 extra points. He finished his Arizona career with 230 points, 38 field goals and a 76.0% field-goal rate, and his calling card was reliability under pressure—most memorably a game-winning 47-yarder against Washington. The differentiator here is pedigree and composure: a former walk-on who turned into a major offensive weapon and earned special-teams honors.
