Curtis Holmes brings veteran depth and playmaking flashes to Hampton’s secondary
Curtis Holmes is a seasoned Hampton defensive back with proven game action and a compact, physical profile at 6-0, 185, giving the Pirates a reliable veteran presence in the back end. In the 2019 season, he appeared in 10 games and logged 10 tackles, plus an interception and a fumble return against Virginia-Lynchburg, showing he can finish plays when the ball finds him. The best fit here is a defense that values experience, toughness, and turnover instincts—less flashy, more trustworthy, and exactly the kind of DB coaches love in tight games.
