Columbia DB Darin Patmon: smart, steady, and a coach’s trust guy
Darin Patmon profiles as an intelligent, reliable defensive back for Columbia, with the kind of football IQ coaches love; Columbia’s roster note from 2013 specifically called him “the consummate free safety.” In the 2026 Columbia roster listings, he remains on the team as a DB, but widely available public stat pages show no recent game-stat detail, so the read here is more about role and traits than splash numbers. If your team wants a disciplined back-end defender with awareness and steady habits rather than a highlight-reel gambler, Patmon is the type who fits cleanly.
