Penn’s two-way table-setter: Davis Baker brings pop, speed, and steady Ivy League value
Davis Baker is a proven Penn shortstop who pairs line-drive contact with impact extra-base power, coming off a 2025 season in which he hit .277 with 6 home runs, 13 doubles, 24 RBIs, and 5 stolen bases in 28 games; he also previously earned Second-Team All-Ivy honors and has been a four-year starter. Reliable sources and Penn’s roster notes point to a player who can affect the game in multiple ways—covering ground at short, running the bases aggressively, and producing momentum-changing hits. That blend makes him a strong fit for teams needing a versatile, competitive middle-infield anchor.[1][3][4]
