Georgia Southern’s undersized, high-impact playmaker
Laron Scott built his Georgia Southern reputation as a fearless, versatile defensive back and return threat, earning preseason and media All-SoCon recognition in the 2010-2011 seasons and even landing on a 2011 FCS All-America second team. His calling card was burst and disruption — quick enough to make plays in coverage, aggressive enough to tackle, and dangerous enough in the return game to flip field position. At 5-9 and 179 pounds, he wasn’t built like a prototype, but that was part of the charm: compact, twitchy, and full of juice. If you value instinct, swagger, and special-teams value, he’s a fit.
