LJ Wells is Northern Kentucky’s do-it-all frontcourt engine
In the 2025-26 season, LJ Wells posted 15.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 55.4% shooting for Northern Kentucky, while also earning Horizon League All-Tournament Team honors. He’s a 6'8 forward who brings efficient scoring, physical rebounding and enough playmaking to punish defenses that load up on him. What makes him pop is the all-around impact: NKU’s own profile highlights a senior leader who climbed into the program’s top 10 in career points, minutes and rebounds, and his big-game ceiling showed in a 35-point performance against Detroit Mercy. If you want a tough, productive, high-floor forward, he checks a lot of boxes.
