Tadarius Mathis brings a depth-piece DB profile with real game reps at Western Illinois
In the 2023 season, Tadarius Mathis appeared in five games for Western Illinois and finished with three solo tackles, including a season-high two tackles in one game, which points to a developing defensive back who is already seeing the field rather than just sitting on the roster.[4] ESPN lists him as a Western Illinois defensive back with career college stats, but the available public data is limited, so his clearest differentiator is rostered experience and early-game trust rather than headline production.[1][4] If you need a young DB who can grow into a more consistent rotational piece, he looks like a reasonable fit; if you want an immediate ballhawk or turnover machine, the current public evidence does not yet show that profile.[1][4]
