efficient two-way guard with a playmaking streak
Welsch’s calling card is his combination of point-guard instincts, shooting touch, and competitive edge: he led Jacksonville State in three-point percentage in the referenced season at 56%, and his background includes leading his academy to multiple youth Final Fours while running the offense. Sources also describe him as a driven player who worked to improve his pull-up jumper, which fits a guard profile that can space the floor and keep an offense organized. For a team, he looks like a high-IQ backcourt fit rather than a stats-only scorer.
