Lance McDowdell brings veteran-sized power and JUCO pedigree to UCF’s defensive front
McDowdell is a big-bodied, interior run-stuffer at 6-foot-5 and 302 pounds who was previously rated as a four-star JUCO tackle and among the nation’s top junior-college defensive linemen, which tells you the frame and juice have always been real[1][3]. He’s the kind of DL fit who can collapse blocks, eat double teams, and give a defense some grown-man toughness up front—valuable if a staff wants a disruptive interior presence rather than just a stat-sheet hunter[1][3].
