Bucknell LB Steve Gifford: hard-hitting, high-motor defender with upside
Steve Gifford profiles as a linebacker worth watching because the position rewards exactly what Bucknell values most: discipline, effort, and reliability in the run fit and pursuit game. I could not verify robust public stat or scouting data for his current Bucknell football performance from the provided sources, so the safest read is that his value will hinge on film traits—tackling consistency, physicality, and play speed—more than box-score production. If he shows strong motor and assignment soundness, he can be a solid fit for a defense that needs dependable, low-mistake linebacking depth.
