Rim-protecting veteran presence for the Privateers
Asrangue Souleymane gives New Orleans a classic center profile: in his college career, he produced 1.4 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 0.1 assists per game while shooting 52.2% from the field, and in the 2007-08 season he finished second in the Sun Belt with 1.7 blocks per game and 41 total blocks. He is the kind of low-usage, defense-first big who can erase mistakes at the rim, bring physicality, and quietly tilt a game with shot-blocking. If your team wants paint protection and a dependable interior anchor, he fits.
