Jaedyn Valdez burst onto the scene for North Dakota in 2026
In the 2026 season, freshman Jaedyn Valdez became one of North Dakota’s immediate difference-makers, leading the Fighting Hawks with a .349 average, 44 hits, 14 doubles, 18 RBIs, a .423 on-base percentage and a .955 OPS while starting all 46 games and earning All-Summit League Second Team honors. She hit .400 with runners in scoring position, which screams clutch, and her production was strong enough to stand out as the highest batting average by a UND freshman in the Division I era. If you want a competitive, high-contact infielder with gap power and poise, she’s a very good fit.
