Yale’s veteran, high-IQ offensive line anchor
Derrek Ross was a 6-foot-3, 259-pound senior offensive lineman at Yale in the 2015 season, and the clearest differentiators were his versatility, intelligence, and leadership: Yale listed him as a right guard, and his background included Scholar-Athlete honors, a 4.0 GPA, National Honor Society leadership, and multiple years of varsity experience. He played in one game in 2015 and had previously helped Yale lead the nation in total offense in 2014, making him the kind of dependable, coach-trusted lineman who fits a smart, physical, culture-first program.
