Charlie Feris gives SFA a veteran right-handed arm with strikeout punch
In the 2026 season, Stephen F. Austin’s Charlie Feris is a senior RHP with a 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame and a Texas pedigree that suggests polish and poise on the mound[1][2]. He showed swing-and-miss ability in a March 8, 2026 win over Lamar, recording three strikeouts, and later worked two innings with two strikeouts in a March 13, 2026 outing against Southeastern Louisiana[3][11]. The pitchable takeaway: he looks like a reliable bullpen piece with competitive bite, not just a warm body on the staff—useful if a team wants experience, strike-throwing, and a no-drama arm[1][3].
