Ryan Smith brings veteran DB savvy and proven tackle production to Butler
Ryan Smith was a steady, experienced presence for Butler, and in the 2019 season he played in all 12 games, started the final 10, and finished fifth on the team with 51 tackles. His value goes beyond the box score: he looks like a reliable, assignment-sound defensive back who gives you maturity, durability, and a linebacker-ish willingness to tackle from the secondary. If you need a DB who can help stabilize the back end and show up every week, he’s the kind of guy coaches trust.
