Najee Lawrence brings veteran DB experience and academic consistency to VMI
Najee Lawrence is a seasoned VMI defensive back with a track record that suggests reliability, adaptability, and a coachable profile; VMI’s roster lists him as a two-year letterman who earned SoCon Academic Honor Roll recognition, and ESPN identifies him as No. 13 in the Keydets secondary.[3][1] His differentiator is less about flashy stat production and more about value in structure: he moved back to defense after previously being used on the other side of the ball, which points to versatility and team-first usage.[3] For a team, he looks like a fit if you want a dependable, assignment-sound DB who brings maturity and room to develop.[3][1]
