Zoe Yaeger gives Virginia Tech a proven two-way impact behind the plate
Yaeger is a reliable, run-producing catcher who paired a .310 average, 9 home runs, 38 RBIs, and a .427 on-base percentage in 2025 with enough defensive consistency to earn 2025 All-ACC Third Team and NFCA Mid-Atlantic Third Team honors. Her value goes beyond the box score: she’s shown the ability to deliver in big spots against quality opponents, and Virginia Tech trusted her with 47 starts at catcher, a strong indicator of day-to-day impact and durability. She looks like a fit for teams wanting a bat-first catcher who can handle a starter’s workload and bring postseason-caliber competitiveness.[1][5][7]
