Big, athletic NC A&T righty with real starter upside
Mekai Griffin is a 6'3", 210-pound right-handed pitcher for North Carolina A&T whose calling card is a physical, athletic frame and a lively fastball that was reported in the 90–92 mph range in his freshman evaluation for the 2025 season[9]. He was described as mature and reliable for a young arm, with a slider that has real bat-missing potential and a developing off-speed mix[9]. His 2025 freshman season also showed late-season growth, as he finished with 16.2 innings of experience and a strong final stretch that included scoreless work[8]. If your team wants a projectable strike-thrower with starter traits and upside, Griffin is the kind of arm worth betting on[8][9].
