Tyler Phelps brings dual-threat production and smart, team-first leadership to Davidson
Tyler Phelps was a productive dual-threat quarterback for Davidson, posting **1,200 passing yards, 12 passing touchdowns, 685 rushing yards, and 4 rushing scores in 2020**, which shows he can stress defenses both in the pocket and on the move[2]. He also earned **Academic All-PFL** honors in back-to-back seasons, a useful signal of discipline and football IQ[3]. For a team, the appeal is a QB who adds mobility, toughness, and proven production; the main question is whether you need a more polished passer or a quarterback whose value comes from versatility and command[2][3].
