Massive SEC run-stopper with NFL traits and a high ceiling
In the 2024 season, Deone Walker remained one of Kentucky’s most physically imposing defenders at 6-foot-6, 345 pounds, flashing disruptive power and rare length even as his production dipped to 37 tackles, 5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 11 games. His calling card is easy to spot: huge frame, heavy hands, and the ability to collapse pockets from the interior, which is why evaluators still viewed him as a Day 2 NFL talent. He also played through a nagging injury issue in 2024, so teams should value the upside, but monitor health and consistency.
