Miami walk-on Alex Garcia brings leverage, toughness and academic discipline to the Hurricanes' offensive line
Alex Garcia is a **redshirt freshman, non-scholarship offensive lineman** at Miami who profiles as a gritty depth piece with real developmental value: the Hurricanes describe him as an **excellent blocker** with a **low center of gravity** who uses **power and leverage** to create running lanes, and he has also earned **three Big East All-Academic Team** honors. He is a local Miami product from Christopher Columbus HS, where he was a multi-sport standout and high-achieving student, which suggests coachability and work ethic that could fit a program looking for dependable, low-maintenance trench help.[1]
