Tyler Haines brings strike-throwing upside and run suppression to UAB's bullpen
Haines has emerged as a reliable right-handed arm for UAB, appearing in 13 games with 14 strikeouts in 17.2 innings and a team-best .180 opponent batting average in the 2026 season; he also logged a first career win and has shown he can miss bats without giving away free baserunners, with multiple scoreless, hitless outings.[1] The appeal is efficiency and poise: he looks like a fit for teams that value command, competitive composure, and low-drama bullpen innings rather than pure velocity.
