XaVior Tyus gives Eastern Michigan a compact, proven all-purpose back
Tyus enters the 2026 season as a junior transfer from Wayne State with a workhorse profile: in his college career, he logged 811 rushing yards, four rushing touchdowns, 33 catches, and 1,009 all-purpose yards, plus an honorable mention All-GLIAC nod in 2025. He brings burst, toughness, and plus versatility for an Eastern Michigan offense that can use a back who can handle carries, catch passes, and stay on the field. At 5-9 and 195 pounds, he looks like a useful fit if a staff wants reliability, multiplicity, and a little juice with some Midwestern grit.
