veteran UMass reserve OL with academic grit and local roots
Jared Chivers is a redshirt senior offensive lineman for Massachusetts, listed at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds, and UMass has described him as a reserve offensive lineman who has been in and out of the program before surfacing as a late-career depth piece.[1] His value is less about flashy box-score stats and more about experience, patience, and persistence—he was also recognized for academic honors early in his career, which fits a dependable, team-first profile.[2] If you need a sturdy, mature locker-room guy who can develop and plug into the room without drama, Chivers checks that box; if you need a headline-grabbing star, he’s not that guy.[1][2]
