a veteran road-grader with proven Conference USA pedigree
In the 2013 season, Matthew Shepperd was a steady, dependable Louisiana Tech interior lineman who started all 12 games at right guard and earned Honorable Mention All-Conference USA honors. He stands out for consistency, durability, and trench value: in 2012, he helped Tech finish 17th nationally in rushing, seventh in sacks allowed, and first in scoring and total offense. That’s the kind of veteran glue piece coaches love—low-drama, assignment-sound, and built to keep an offense humming.
