Kevin Steelman brings a big-frame, strikeout-flashing relief arm to Charleston
In the 2025 season, Kevin Steelman appeared in six games out of the bullpen and struck out four batters in 4.1 innings, with his Charleston bio noting a 6-foot-5, 215-pound right-hander who debuted with a scoreless inning against Creighton. He also showed swing-and-miss upside in summer ball, posting 16 strikeouts and a 2.25 ERA in four games for Lexington County in 2024, while his earlier 2023 summer work helped Lexington win the Coastal Plains League title. The appeal is the frame, bullpen utility, and arm-side upside; the question is whether he can turn that raw stuff into consistent college leverage innings.
