Jamal Hawkins gives Jackson State a versatile DB with an edge
Jamal Hawkins is listed as a defensive back for Jackson State, but the available public info is thin on 2026 game-by-game production, so the safest read is that he’s a depth-and-upside piece rather than a headline-grabber right now. What stands out is the DB profile itself: Jackson State has consistently valued athletes who can match speed, tackle in space, and stay disciplined in coverage, and Hawkins fits the kind of role where reliability matters as much as splash plays. If your team wants physical secondary depth with room to grow, he’s worth a closer look.
