Appalachian State Freshman CB with Elite HS Pedigree
Tevin McDermott, a 6-1, 190-lb freshman safety at Appalachian State (not Tennessee Tech), dominated high school at McMinn County, ranking top 21 in Tennessee for total points (108) and top 1 in 6A District 5 across four stats per MaxPreps—showcasing shutdown coverage instincts and ball skills that scream future Sun Belt star. His length, speed, and physicality make him a differentiator against bigger receivers; no injury red flags, high-motor intensity fits aggressive defenses perfectly. Care because he's a raw, high-upside DB ready to contribute early—ideal for teams needing versatile secondary depth.
