Lyla Caston brings high-contact upside to Rhode Island’s outfield
Caston is a freshman outfielder at Rhode Island who arrives with a strong offensive resume from Charter Oak, where her 2025-26 production included a .429 batting average, .475 on-base percentage, 24 hits, 25 RBI, and 26 runs in 17 games. She looks like a player who can impact the game with consistent contact, run production, and speed-to-impact value rather than just raw power, which makes her an intriguing fit for teams needing dependable top-of-order offense and outfield athleticism.
