Merrimack LHP Campbell Cassidy flashes strikeout upside, but run prevention remains a work in progress
Cassidy is a 6-foot-2 left-hander from Auburn, Maine, entering his junior year at Merrimack, and his biggest draw is the matchup value that comes with a true left-handed arm. In 2026, he has 9 strikeouts in 10.0 innings, showing he can miss bats, but his 10.80 ERA suggests he is still working to turn stuff into consistent results. For teams, he profiles as a developmental arm with situational value and real upside if his command and consistency sharpen.
