veteran Utah safety with clutch-play DNA
Joe Dale was a four-year Utah letterwinner who started at safety in every game of his final two seasons, finished with 47 career appearances, 27 starts, and five interceptions, and earned Defensive MVP honors in the 2007 Poinsettia Bowl. In the 2008 season, he led Utah defensive backs with 66 tackles, added 6.5 tackles for loss, three picks, four pass breakups, a sack, and a forced fumble—classic “do-a-little-of-everything” back-end production. His calling card is reliability, instincts, and big-moment execution; if you want a safety who brings toughness, ball skills, and next-play edge, he’s your guy.
