FGCU’s veteran guard with a pass-first, floor-general vibe
Kyle Matheny is listed on FGCU’s historical men’s basketball roster as a guard who transferred in after producing 6.0 points and 5.0 assists per game at Miami Dade Community College, which fits a steady, distributor-first profile rather than a high-usage scorer[1][2]. He’s the kind of guard coaches usually love: experienced, organized, and seemingly comfortable running a team, with a background that also includes captaincy and strong prep production (25 points, 6 assists, 5 rebounds per game in high school)[1]. If you want a poised point guard who can manage pace and create for others, Matheny is the right flavor of player.
