Iowa State’s high-strikeout rookie arm arrives with ace-level upside
Holtz enters Iowa State as a freshman right-handed pitcher with a proven power profile, highlighted by more than 800 career high school strikeouts, multiple all-area/all-state honors, and captain-level leadership at Richmond-Burton. In 2025, she reached 700 career strikeouts during a 18-strikeout outing and also showed she can help offensively with a home run, underscoring her competitiveness and game-changing ceiling. Her biggest differentiators are strikeout ability, durability, and experience handling big moments; the main question for a roster fit is how quickly that high school dominance translates against Big 12 hitters.
