low-minute UC Irvine guard with elite soccer pedigree and upside
Laila El Beherly’s basketball profile at UC Irvine is extremely limited—she logged just 2 career games and 0.0 points per game in the 2022-23 season—but that makes her more of a developmental wildcard than a polished rotation piece. What stands out is her multi-sport competitiveness: UC Irvine credits her with a strong soccer background, including first-team all-region recognition and a 6-goal, 13-point 2024 season on the pitch. If you value athleticism, versatility, and high-ceiling intensity over proven basketball production, she’s intriguing; if you need an immediate stat-sheet driver, she’s not that yet.
