Maine Black Bears' Towering Redshirt Freshman DB with Explosive HS Pedigree
Isaiah Ervin, a 6'5", 190-lb redshirt freshman defensive back for the Maine Black Bears, flashed elite high school athleticism as a two-way star at Houlton (ME) in 2024, throwing for 813 yards and 12 TDs while ranking top-7 nationally in passing yards; his verified 4.5s 40-yard dash and physical tools make him a rare unicorn at DB. Limited 2025 college stats (1 tackle in 1 game) reflect early adjustment, but his length, speed, and versatility scream future lockdown corner or safety—perfect fit for teams needing size and playmaking upside in the secondary.
