Marcus Elliott brings veteran DB experience and academic recognition to Kent State
Marcus Elliott is a depth-and-dependability defensive back for Kent State, with documented game experience and a profile built more on reliability than flash: in his 2017 senior season, he played in 10 games and recorded four tackles while earning Academic All-MAC and Hampshire Honor Society honors. That combination suggests a disciplined, coachable player who can fit a team that values assignments, communication, and steady preparation. The main question is upside, not effort—his value is as a mature, trustworthy defender who helps stabilize a secondary.
