Avery Hughes brings Arkansas a proven scoring guard with an all-state résumé
Avery Hughes is a **high-upside guard** for Arkansas whose game is defined by scoring polish, competitiveness, and proven production from his Bentonville career, where he topped 1,000 points, earned two-time all-conference and all-state recognition, and set a school single-game record with 34 points.[7] The key reason to care is his *off-the-dribble shot-making* and ability to deliver in big moments; the main fit question is size, since Arkansas lists him as a 5-7 guard, so his value will hinge on pace, pressure handling, and whether his toughness and leadership translate against SEC length.[7][1]
