LJ Owens gives Delaware a steady, experienced scoring guard
In the 2022-23 season, LJ Owens was Delaware’s reliable backcourt veteran, averaging 9.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists while starting in the rotation, and he brought real shot-making value with a 43% field-goal clip during his prior America East All-Conference Third Team season at UMBC in 2021-22[8][12]. He looks like the kind of guard coaches trust: experienced, composed, and capable of creating offense without needing the ball every possession, with the added bonus of high-end free-throw touch and late-season scoring punch[1][12].
