physical, proven, and built for downhill linebacker work
Asalemo Fruean is a bigger-bodied linebacker with a strong college frame (6-foot-2, 250 pounds) who brings old-school physicality and inside-out toughness to Saint Francis U’s defense. His background notes that he played both linebacker and tight end in high school, and he was ranked the No. 18 prospect in Hawaii by Rivals, which hints at athletic upside and versatility. The biggest reason to care: he profiles as a tone-setter who can absorb contact, play with edge, and fit a team that values size, tackling presence, and competitive grit.
