Leyton Bickford brings Maine a local, high-motor forward with proven rebounding touch
In the 2020-21 season, Leyton Bickford was a freshman 6-6 forward for Maine, but the real selling point is his all-around high-school résumé: he was the 49th-ranked player in New England’s Class of 2020 and the top-ranked true Maine high-school recruit in his class, with a senior season of 17.5 points and 10.5 rebounds per game. He was described by Maine coach Richard Barron as a very good athlete with size and offensive versatility, which makes him appealing if you want a physical, local, culture-fit forward who can rebound, defend, and grow into more on-ball impact.
