All-SWAC DL Powerhouse from Alabama State Turned NFL Vet and Coach
Earl Cochran, a towering 6-5, 287-pound Alabama State Hornets defensive lineman, earned All-SWAC honors with his disruptive pass rush and run-stopping tenacity, shining in NFL Europe's Amsterdam Admirals in 2006 with 42 tackles and 9 sacks in 9 starts before a brief Texans stint (3 career sacks). His rebounding grit from a season-ending toe injury highlights elite intensity and durability—ideal for teams seeking a high-motor leader who transitions seamlessly to coaching, like his current role at Prairie View A&M.
