Ben Alekson is Fairfield’s ace, and the Stags trust him in every big moment
In the 2026 season, Ben Alekson emerged as Fairfield’s staff headliner, earning MAAC Pitcher of the Year honors, a spot on the National Pitcher of the Year watch list, and a complete-game win in the MAAC Championship opener. He brings a starter’s durability, a history of missing barrels, and real pedigree from a 2023 Vermont Gatorade Player of the Year résumé. What makes him pop: he’s proven he can handle pressure, pitch deep into games, and lead a rotation — the kind of right-hander a team can build around.
