Old-School Rim Protector, High-Energy Frontcourt Presence
In the 2004-05 season, Jermaine Spencer earned All-Southland Conference second-team honors after starting all 32 games, and he remained a high-energy inside presence even when he shifted to the bench in 2005-06. He has long been valued for shot blocking, physicality, and efficient finishing near the rim; Northwestern State’s media guide lists him among the program’s top blocked-shot performers, and his career field-goal rate was strong at 51.5% on RealGM. The catch: he was never a perimeter threat, so he fits best as a tough, defense-first forward who brings hustle, paint protection, and steady low-maintenance minutes.
